The three sneaker giants have come together to show their support for black hisitory month. Celebrating the achievements of those came before and the ones who will pass onto the next generation, converse shoes (check out celebrities in converse) along with Jordan Brand, and Nike selected 3 icons of basketball – Julius “Dr. J” Erving for CONVERSE, Michael Jordan for Jordan Brand, andKobe Bryant for Nike Basketball, to represent the past and present of African-Americans’ journey in the sport.

In addition to the three above there is a forth edition – Nike Sportswear Air Force 1. Straddled across the past, present, and future, there is no player associated with the AF1, at least not yet. In an all-black colorway, homage to the basketball shoes in the past, the accents of metallic gold honor the moments when players overcame obstacles, both on the court and off.
