Alex Calderwood, founder of the hotel chain Ace Hotel has once again collaborated with his favorite footwear label, CONVERSE!!! Since its founding as a converted Seattle’s halfway house in 1999 to the most recent addition in New York City, the hotels have become a go-to haven for creative types, a familiar point of rendezvous in an unfamiliar city. This the latest creation from the two giants is the Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey (and this is sure to end up in one of our celebrities in converse posts real soon).
Its olive colored upper in waxed cotton is a hint of its military inspiration. Padded footbed and sockliner, along with toughen toe cap give the hotel staff ample protection against daily wear and tear. Finally, the gum rubber outsole and Bosey boot grommets serve as signatures of this special collaboration. In addition to Ace Hotel staff members, some 300 pairs of these converse shoes have been set-aside for the consuming public.
