Dirty Ghetto Kids, also known as DGK, is the personal brand of professional skateboarder, Stevie Williams. He has just signed a contract that will help, propel him, his skateboard and his brand into the realm of untold wealth and success.
His two major deals are with Casio’s G-Shock and Supra Footwear. The former is featured in a television commercial and the latter concerns a signature sneaker line.
Williams said of DGK:
“I’m not out there promoting a message of staying dirty and ghetto. It’s more of a message encouraging you to ‘take adversity head on.’ It’s challenging…It’s more of an inspirational company…”
The 30-year-old Williams knows what he is doing and is sharp enough to know he needs help in expanding the direction of his career. To this end, he has hired industry veteran/executive Chaka Zulu, whose impressive track record has expanded his Disturbin’ Tha Peace brand into lines of footwear, electronics, movies, liquor and television appearances.
The Philadelphia-born Williams lives and breathes his passion for skateboarding and it has literally helped him soar to new and unexpected heights of fame and prosperity.
A tour is slated for the fall as well as the launching of his new signature sneaker shoe line with Supra Footwear.
