Sylvester Stallone to launch a Men’s fashion line

by Fashion Dude on March 28, 2011

ADRIAN! ADRIAN? Does my bum look big in these grey sweatpants? Who’d have thunk it-Rocky, Rambo, Ray Quick (ROFL) AKA Sylvester Stallone is to launch a men’s fashion line. The 64-year old “acting” legend has teamed up with beauty and retail executive Michael Henry and other unidentified financial backers to create Sly Inc., a Men’s lifestyle brand that will launch in 2012. Interviewed by Men’sWeek, Stallone said “I’ve lived a life where I know what has worked and what hasn’t worked. Clothing is the first step to building a character.” Hmm, John Spartan anyone?

Sly has also said that the characters of Rocky and Rambo will serve as inspiration for the collection. Does this mean we’ll see Philip Huang jogging down the catwalk in a headband and tracksuit during Singapore Men’s Fashion Week 2011 with a crowd of delirious kids chasing after him? One can only dream, like Rocky, but not like John Rambo. That would just be dangerous. So keep an eye out in 2012 for the Sylvester Stallone men’s fashion line. It will probably coincide with the release of Rocky 43 so I’m sure you’ll hear about it anyway between now and then.
